Bastard Noise (Eric Wood)
ノイズ・ダークアンビエントユニット「BASTARD NOISE」４月来福！
Bastard Noise was founded in 1991 by Henry Barnes, W. T. Nelson and Eric Wood, initially as a side project of power violence band Man Is The Bastard. Bastard Noise is currently in solo form headed by founding member Eric Wood. Bastard Noise has collaborated with MSBR, Keiji Haino, Merzbow, Christian Renou, Guilty Connector, Government Alpha and many others. Although Bastard Noise utilises many instruments, the project has come to be known and recognised by the idiosyncratic sound of their purpose-crafted gear unique to the project. Electro-acoustic devices such as "the Coil", controllers such as joysticks repurposed from broken arcade games and a vast array of high and low voltage analog audio generators were invented, engineered and hand-built by Henry Barnes (who builds as Amps for Christ and Guitars For Christ) and W. T. Nelson (who builds for Trogotronic) specifically for Bastard Noise lending to the projects' distinctive sound. Bastard Noise project has documented its work inside the recording studio, on stage and even in the kitchen with well over 100 recordings issued. Eric Wood will be performing with local musicians during the 2015 Bastard Noise tour of Japan. Guests will include Guilty Connector, Hiroshi Hasegawa, Kenny Sanderson and shayne bowden.
ポータブルプレーヤーやエフェクト等により独自のターンテーブル奏法を模索/追究し続けるエクスペリメンタル・女性ターンテーブリスト。
2008年北欧ツアー、2009年 ericM、Martin Tetreault、Ignaz Schickらのターンテーブリスト達とのヨーロッパツアー、2014年2月 ロンドンでのフェス「multipletap」に出演。又、2015年3月はメキシコ、5月には台湾で演奏する予定。1998〜2009年は、実験ターンテーブルユニットBusratchとして活動し、2001年シカゴ現代美術館でChristian Marclayらと共演するなど国内外の美術館やフェスに参加。
又、京都でパララックスレコードの店長としていろいろ面白い実験音楽を紹介する音楽のソムリエ?でもある。
2001年、大牟田にて結成。CDJ400とFilter Bank2を主に操作する２名の音とデジカメ／液晶TVのフィードバックを主に操作する１名の映像で演奏する。
